Happy Hour!
Re: Happy Hour
BJ's anyone?
Seriously though, Good Sports is a surprisingly decent townie bar. And I think Broadway Pizza has a bar. There is no other place for decent people to drink on the Northside till you get to Camden or North Memorial. If people are willing to go to Robbinsdale, St Petersburg is awesome.

I remember working with the owner of Good Sports when I was an intern for the West Broadway Coalition, super nice guy. Mike something maybe? I'd be down with that. It's right on the 14 & 7 and right by the West Broadway exit off 94 for drivers.

Re: Happy Hour
NE Yacht Club is cheap and chill and easy to get to from most anywhere.
Re: Happy Hour
Or was there some reason it actually needed to be in north?
Re: Happy Hour
Really? Seems like too many people wouldn't have been a problem in October. How many people typically show up to these? I'd be down for Halek's, since I've never been and it would be an easy backup plan. I've been to Donny Dirk's and it seems like there are usually a couple of booths available. I haven't been in a while, since it seems to be more group oriented than for solo drunks like myself.Where do we want to go? Dive Bar in Maplewood? The airport Chili's?
What are some good places in North other than Donnie Dirk's? That space wouldn't be great for more than a few people.

Re: Happy Hour
We had ~10 people last time, but I think no more than like seven at one time. Maybe now that we've established that people will actually come, a few more will come. I've only been to Donnie Dirk's once but it's all booths and then a line of seats at a bar, right? I figure it makes more sense to have everyone at one table instead of having a period where there's six in a booth and two at another, but then again I'm known for overthinking things. I'd recommended North just because. We can do Northeast next time!
So like mid-December? The 12th or 13th?

Does Victory 44 not have a liquor license or is it just beer and wine. Their would be coffee for none drinkes and drinks for those who want that.

Really going to try and make it to this, but I'm not sure I'll get off work in time.

Maybe next time. There were lot of visionary and dreamy talks about urban development going on and we needed SOMEONE to keep us in check!Did this just turn into an awkward first date? Sorry I can't make it!

Ha! And then towards the end, the lovely Woman who asked us 'if "they" had let us out on a day trip'... I guess it's strange to wear name tags anymore... speaking of which, I picked up the extra tags and sharpie, which I could bring along next time.Maybe next time.
