I'd go. I also think it would be valuable to see each other face to face. Might increase post quality by limiting the trolling and thoughtless posts if we're less anonymous.

Any excuse for happy hour is a good one! I'm usually working past 6, but if it turns out I'm not I'd join. I work less in Winter months!

So I think we should do this like...next Thursday. At Republic at Seven Corners. Evening...like six? Happy hour ends at six so we could go earlier if need be, or dedicated drinkers like myself can rendezvous a half hour earlier, etc.

Thoughts? I feel like making an event on the UrbanMSP Facebook page but Facebook events are so 2011.

I had been planning on the 6th. I have a feeling that turn out won't be so great, so I'm thinking we should reset...I also talked to Shawn (our brave Administrator) and he has class Thursday/I'm going to a Twins game either Thursday or Friday next week, so what about Wednesday? Unless there's some large event I'm forgetting about, I might throw up a Facebook event for it for next Wednesday.

This would be a very entertaining event to attend, however, I have some physical limitations (severe back ailment) at the moment that will prohibit me from the event. I would very much be interested in attending such an event in the months ahead. Hopefully, these types of events happen from time-to-time.

I think the date should be set at least two weeks ahead. There are probably a lot of people that are not as obsessed with checking this site as I am and only get around to it once a week. A two weeks notice would allow more people to get the chance to even find out about it and plan ahead. It's worth the wait for a better turnout.
