I thought the name tags went a long way to reinforce the obvious fact that we were the coolest group at the bar.

I can bring colored Crayola markers next time! And gold star stickers!

Thanks for coming out though everyone, it was a good time.

It was indeed.

Fotoapparatic and I got into a spirited debate about the merits of CM Meg Tuthill (or lack thereof). No hard feelings, I hope :)

Yes, somebody needs to keep the fun in check!

Stayed long enough to try all four of their beers on draught! Who else did? That snowpocalypse could've been trouble, but I knew that it being served probably meant high abv. Glad we all agreed that what's holding Downtown back is that there's too many people and not enough surface parking: the sooner we look like Kansas City the better! ;)

I am looking forward to attending the next happy hour. I think my last happy hour was at Skyscape about 5 years ago! ha ha

It's not quite HH til 9, but I noticed a good deal of forumers live in LP and LKB is kinda dead. Hamms is like $3 and PBR $3.50 til 9 when all draughts are $3. Hell, I'm from Ohio where it was like 60 today and I still biked around in this. Yeah, it's -4 cuz of that damn windchill, but support your local businesses! Especially ones that get you drunk for cheap (did I mention they have Olde English?). I'll be hanging out for a while. Hmm, maybe I should have started a drunk thread; their HH is almost too good.

I think we're going to shoot for the next happy hour being on the 26th of February. I'd like to go to St. Paul, preferably something along the Green Line. Any ideas?

Ngon on Avon and University has pho and local brews. It is a but of a trek by bus from Minneapolis though.

On's Thai Kitchen is amazing and it's happy hour all the time, seriously great food with great prices. They have pho too :)

Edit: This is next to the turf club on Snelling and Uni, so probably fairly easy for most to get to.

I've heard a lot about (the?) Turf Club. Any objections?

Just as long as there isn't another event or loud thing going on. Lot's of live music and readings and things there at random times.

Never been there for something other than a concert... no idea what the vibe is like elsetimes. No interest in the Dubliner? Or how about somewhere in Nordeast?

Well no one seems to have hopped onto the St. Paul suggestions thing...now I want Northeast. Northeast Yacht Club? Someone said that in the past. We should hammer this out in the next couple days.

St. Paul would be fine. Has downtown been considered? That's a fun scene after work.

If not the Yacht Club, Dusty's, the Mooose/Spring Street, and the Vegas Lounge are all good options for groups.

I hadn't piped up after the Turf was suggested, but it's close to where I live, so that'd be fine. I work in downtown St. Paul, though. The Bulldog has hot dish on the menu.
