It's like when people used to put carpet over hardwood floors -- it was the style at the time, though nobody would do it now.I'm actually a bit tired of the 'loft' look myself. They weren't tearing off drywall & concrete, they were taking off the original plaster finish.

The permits for the Brut build-out are starting appear on the city site, so this is finally underway.Brut is opening in the old Sapor space in the North Loop. Pretty big deal chefs, too. It'll be nice to have that space active again!
