Ok, good to know. Mods, can we move these recent posts to the USb stadium thread?

I have been a Vikings fan for 33 years. I loved Red McCombs, previous owner from Texas, until he gutted the team in order to get the most value for his sale. I even like the Wilf's before the whole stadium drama started. But the way they have acted in about the last 5-8 years has been too much for me. The way they have handled the entire stadium process, the whole issue with the special teams coach and backing him, even after what he clearly stated, the Wells Fargo issues, the park issues, the parking ramp parcel, using basically everything but their own money to pay their share of the stadium, and now the street name issue. They continually make it harder and harder to cheer for their team. I patiently await the day they sell the team to anyone else, no matter where they are from.
you really need to get a grip. so you're a "fan" and yet find fault with the trajectory of the team. they're on pace to make the playoffs again and possibly go further.

how did they act with park? they're contributing money. is this Paul Ostrow? And Red McCombs was a disaster who spent diddly squat on the team.
Not sure I need to get a grip. What is wrong with being critical of the owners? And where did I find fault with the trajectory of the actual team? My issue is with the absolute horse**** ownership group. And yes, I am a "fan" of the actual team. However, I no longer spend money on Sundays, and spend my money on Saturdays with Gopher season tickets. Spent on both up until a few years ago.

I think Zimmer is a pretty righteous dude.

Agree. Love Zimmer. And the future is bright if they can get some help in the secondary. Really wish they would drop AP and use that money in areas of more need.

With regards to the posts in the Downtown East section about the northeast addition, it looks like it is just adding a club level suite area. Really don't understand why the MSFA would need to rent this area. Is that standard with the other club level areas?

Correct - they are simply adding to the space that was walled off with drywall for future renovations to suites. It looks like they decided to use that space for this new club area instead. The space mentioned is in the northeast corner of the seating bowl, behind the last row of the club seating (2nd level). There are suites throughout the building on this same level. It will look much better than a blank white wall, that's for sure.

Coincidentally, this game is scheduled on a Minnesota United home date. Smart!

Not sure they care. I suspect this game will sell out very quickly.

I'd go just to experience the atmosphere when they play Liquidator.

I'll be curious to see if it does. (And I'll most likely go, for the record)

Either way, this is another example in which the Vikings look needlessly petty. It'd be nice if they could figure out an arrangement to make this a doubleheader.

Really...? Perhaps the date worked best for the two teams that are playing 8000 miles from home... I'm also pretty sure that the MSFA schedules non Vikings events at the place anyways. Needless, petty Vikings bashing.

Heads Up! The Vikings will reveal who their first preseason opponent today at 3. Everything I've seen points to a week 3 home opener, possibly on National TV.

Looks like it is time for asphalt! I am not sure how long they have to wait to put the playing surface down, but we are getting close.

Keep all eyes and ears on the lookout for any leaks. The NFL says it has the schedule ready to roll out, but is not yet ready to announce a day to roll it out.

I'd guess they will release the schedule at the same time the Vikes release their new App, so by the end of the month.
