Can Can Wonderland - Prior Ave

Postby Sharp2015 » May 29th, 2015, 3:03 pm

Art, Mini-Golf, Coffee and Beer !

In my neighborhood of Hamline Midway they are finally moving forward with renovation of the old Silgan Container factory at 755 Prior Avenue . There are cars outside 7 days a week now with the renovation work .If you've never seen it ,it remind me a lot of the Schmidt Brewery and is a huge 480,000 square foot complex just down from the Green Line - right now they are hoping to have artist-designed mini golf organization, Can Can Wonderland (formerly Blue Ox Mini Golf), and the neighborhood’s second brewery, Black Stack Brewing open by the end of the year . How many breweries is that now on the Greeline? Quite a few...

Here the google view -https://www.google.com/maps/place/755+P ... 70!6m1!1e1

The Silgan building development will be phased in over the next two years . Focusing on creative and artisan-type tenants, and have a wide range of spaces available from rather small and affordable work spaces and studios to much larger spaces that could be leased to higher-end creative tenants like design firms or creative manufacturing.

Check out the space in this cool video showing you whats in store .... I feel like this is something that St.Paul needs !

Art, Mini-Golf, Coffee and Beer !
But not necessarily in that order :D

Been watching this building (multi-building complex, actually) for years hoping for just this sort of development. It's been great watching the city website and seeing permits pulled for electrical and HVAC work rather than the graffiti complaints that seemed to be the main activity related to the property in the past couple of years. I can't wait to play my first round!

Love this! They even followed the Peavey Plaza account.

I look forward to watching this work come together. It will definitely add a bit of color to the site!

"Artsy St. Paul mini-golf course Can Can Wonderland drawing up $1M expansion project."
It's been wonderful watching this place take off and really become a unique Twin Cities attraction. I'm excited to see what's next.

Yeah, I have to admit that I had huge doubts that this would even open, but it really seems to be killing it. Good for them!
