Mozaic (all phases)
Re: Mozaic (all phases)
hopefully it's starting to sink in with banks and developers that we're not in a housing bubble it's more of a housing crisis. I think that pause was to test the market and it's clearly in need.

I dunno. We've seen more than one proposal in Uptown fizzle. Whatever happened to the project that was supposed to go where Corner Balloon, etc. are?
I would really like to see something go into the SOHO Pizza lot.

You better not be talking about Soho Cafe. Their Greek Chicken Pita and Gyros are really good, and super cheap. Plus they are open late.

I wouldn't want to see the businesses leave, though that's probably what would happen. But that parking lot is a giant hole on the block. You better not be talking about Soho Cafe. Their Greek Chicken Pita and Gyros are really good, and super cheap. Plus they are open late.

The place has always intrigued me because there's an old foundation under the parking lot. Anyone know what used to be there? Almost seems like an extension of the building on the west portion of the lot.

That was one of Ackerberg's early developments, wad a garage previously.
But get real, it's the old burger king that needs to come down. The Uptown has questionable food and a terrible parking lot.

Nice to see 2 floors being leased up!

Re: Mozaic (all phases)
The Instagram for MoZaic East said they were excited to have Alchemy365 with a photo showing them with a sign saying they love Uptown. No additional details. Alchemy365 has several locations and offers strength/conditioning and yoga classes.

this appears to be almost topped out already

Re: Mozaic (all phases)
I think it looks so much better than phase 1. The glass on the windows is much more reflective. The building has a nice appeal when you see it fron the Greenway. I have pictures on my flicker account.

Re: Mozaic (all phases)
I would disagree. Yeah it's reaching Bloomington level office park standards and should probably be massed a lot better than it was, but it's way better than a parking lot. Also the panels look really neat when the sun is hitting them just right.oh... so it looks like phase I.
Re: Mozaic (all phases)
^^The panels change color/tonality as you pass by it along the Greenway. It's rather unique and really fun to look at.

Syngenta is moving 200 employees from Minnetonka to WeWork’s Uptown space.

Re: Mozaic (all phases)
Not sure if it's in that article (locked), but isn't Syngenta moving its operations to Chicago in two years? So kind of a short-term win.
Re: Mozaic (all phases)
Here's an unlocked article from the Strib. No mention of them leaving at some point, though given the note that WeWork looks for short-term corporate clients, I guess this is exactly what they'd want anyway.
