So to be clear, this slur bar is closing but the other slur bar is staying open.

This is actually one of my favorite projects in town. Simple & the materials express what they are.
Q. What, what? A. In da butt.
Re: 2009 Lyndale Avenue - CPM Development
I'm not bothered by the materials at all, I think the blue accents will really help bring it together.

Those slight misalignments in the metal siding add a human touch, like the plane and chisel marks on a piece of hand built furniture, reminding you that it was made by humans rather than robots.
Re: 2009 Lyndale Avenue - CPM Development
This style of metal paneling tends to look like re-used shipping containers. The darker gray looks slightly better since it comes across less like plain aluminum.so they have most of the siding up, and it's pretty cheap looking...
Re: 2009 Lyndale Avenue - CPM Development
I like how big the windows are... the building's proportions look better to me overall.

As someone who lives in the area, it's been nice to watch this go up. It's great there's more housing available in the neighborhood. But I've gotta agree that unless they really work some magic with the last stuff that this thing is a dud design-wise. I don't mind the two different metal colors, but the tan cement board (?) looks really cheap and detracts from the whole thing. They really did their best to hide it in renderings (and for obvious reasons).

When I look at that building I mainly see solid profits for Reuter Walton.

It has yet to be painted. But yes it looks terrible unfinished. As someone who lives in the area, it's been nice to watch this go up. It's great there's more housing available in the neighborhood. Good to know it will be painted. I was worried this was the final look of it.It has yet to be painted. But yes it looks terrible unfinished.

Seriously, what could be more inclusive and less elitist than tan cement board?
