Not sure that this warrants its own thread, but there are plans to replace a single-family home on Grand Avenue into a multi-family building. Nice website, including a place to submit feedback.

That's some strong PR! It belies the opposition to a great project that they anticipate, which is just too sad.Nice website, including a place to submit feedback.
Re: Saint Paul - General Topics
Anyone have any idea what is happening on Robert street south (west) of the river? I was under the impression this section was going to be given a road diet, but it appears as though they gave it a very thin skim coat of new asphalt, and they have repainted the lines as they were previously (4lanes) I was really hoping that the 4-3 conversations would allow for bike lanes between Cesar Chavez and Kellogg as is called for it the bike plan. I realize the bridge deck Is going to be replaced this summer. Are they waiting for that work to be done to re-stripe the road? Anyone have any knowledge of the situation?
Re: Saint Paul - General Topics
I drove down Robert street again today and noticed that there was another fresh layer of asphalt on top of the one previously applied. Between Cesar Chavez and the railroad tracks to the north, it appears as if the road has indeed received a road diet. Heading north from Caesar Chavez, once you hit the railroad tracks, the road goes back to 4 lanes for some reason. I’m worried this will end up being a huge missed opportunity to implement bike lanes along this stretch. Going from 1 lane to 2 to 3(!) northbound lanes within a mile is absolutely ridiculous and I just don’t understand the thinking behind this. I’m still holding out hope that when the bridge deck is replaced, bike lanes will be implemented.

Why is Saint Paul on this list with the likes of Elk River, Big Lake, Cannon Falls, Ham Lake, and Chaska? One city really seems to stick out with all these rural and exurban places. We're still in a pandemic.

As long as they're limiting attendance at the ballpark and mandating spacing, which it sounds like they're doing, it should be alright.

The NIMBY folks on Nextdoor are abuzz about a new 3, maybe 4 story residential-over-commercial building proposed for the Suds America laundry block on the north side of Marshall, just east of Cleveland. My scouring for more official info was fruitless, so I'm curious if anyone else has come across any links?

Good location, too short.
Re: Saint Paul - General Topics
I get that we need gas stations, but this little area would be very nice with something else on the corner there.

At least one house has been demolished at the NW corner of Finn and Marshall, I *believe* for this: https://unionparkdc.org/sites/default/f ... erings.pdf
Marshall is seeing a nice little burst of development between Snelling and Cretin...too bad Izzy's couldn't stay open a bit longer, they'd have had lots of new potential customers nearby.

I really like the looks of this one. Proof you don't have to resort to cornices, pillars and arches with randomly placed elevations with throwing darts at an elevation plan on the wall to see which of a dozen exterior finishes to apply to a given section in order to make something look better than a communist block flat.
