550 West lake street is under construction. This is the third and final building for the lake street dwelling complex.

It looked like maybe there's some work going on at the old Penn Cycle location in LynLake. Anybody know if something is going in there?

Lagos tacos and iron door pub are closing this month. Lyndale between lake and 29th has had alot of closures the past year

Permits from the city call it a coffee cafe. But it is owned by Umbra Arts and they look like they set up an art gallery/gift shop in there.

The former apple store has sold for 1 million to developer first and first with the goal of the building housing a local retail or bar space

I have this growing feeling that after the road construction is done and both the B *AND* E lines run right through its heart that Uptown is going to see a revival. The streetscape improvements are making it much nicer of a walking environment, and the urban amenities are just too good to be in a recession much longer. It's probably going to have some of the best transit amenities in the state outside of the U of MN (and despite being kinda far away, the SWLRT will add to this), it's dense, it has good biking infrastructure... It just cannot be neglected much longer.
