I know "townhome" is the what everyone is calling rowhouses today, but these are essentially just rowhouses. The 6 bedrooms is extreme for anything outside of their obvious use as student housing, but there should be more of these built elsewhere with 2 or 3 bedrooms and ownership options for families.
Look really good to me compared to some of the other stuff popping up around St Thomas.

Re: Saint Paul - General Topics
I've always thought of the difference between rowhouses and townhomes as rowhouses being separate zero-lot-line buildings that don't have shared structure or exterior space that requires an condo association setup to manage, where townhomes are shared structures that do. Not sure if that's a definition anyone else uses, or if I just kind of made that up for myself.
Given that these are obviously meant to be student housing, and not even necessarily rented to roommates that even know each other in advance, his and hers sinks in that basement bathroom is a fascinating choice.

Does anyone know what's going on at the Rose Street Patisserie at Snelling and Selby? It looks like they're cutting out windows for a second storefront there.

Correct, a second storefront using the back of the old Sweatshop space. Then they could divide that big space for a tenant.

The Alliance Bank Center has a new owner. Hopefully the new owners can redevelop it into something more useful.
