Man that is so sad, it is insane that anyone ever view on street painted lanes as acceptable in a winter climate. But I suppose people didn't think people would bike in the winter. As this is my first winter riding its amazingly reliving to get to a separated bike path. As someone who is confident under summer conditions riding in the road its a real bummer in the winter.

Re: Hiawatha-Minnehaha Corridor - General Topics
A startup would like to convert the old Harvest States grain elevator at 41st and Hiawatha into an urban farm, starting by growing cannabis on the ground level of each silo, but eventually expanding to a vertical hydroponic system to use the full 100' height, and possibly expanding into other crops like morels, ginger, and saffron. They also intend to commission the artist who painted the original mural back in 1990 to restore it and paint an additional mural on the 41st St side of the complex. Pretty cool stuff.

This was one of the developments that was written about being affected by the 2040 pause. Glad to see that's behind us now.

positive that it still was able to get financed even in this environment! Although, I suppose it's much easier to get funding for a project of this scale than the big 5 over 1s.Wezle wrote: March 24th, 2025, 6:58 am This was one of the developments that was written about being affected by the 2040 pause. Construction is now underway on 3561 Minnehaha! I'm itching for more apartment projects like this one to get off the ground.

Spotted in Metro Transit's latest Rider's Almanac, a pair of SFHs near 50th St Station are being marketed for redevelopment. 4209-4225 E 50th Street. Listing includes a rendering of what could be built, not an actual proposal: https://www.edinarealty.com/land-lots-f ... 17-7041941
Great development site, but I hope they can find a way to save or at least salvage from 4225. In a perfect world that house would be picked up and plopped down across the street next to Metro Transit's transformer or signal shack, whatever this is, or on the vacant city-owned lot up the block at 4920 Hiawatha Ave.

Love that AI generated render includes the Blue Line stopping at a bus stop.twincitizen wrote: April 7th, 2026, 9:24 am Listing includes a rendering of what could be built, not an actual proposal
