US Bank Stadium? Eh, could be worse, I guess. I used to live next to Bankers Life Fieldhouse after all.

Lol. Though I am surprised it's not Wells Fargo with the proximity of their new offices.

For all intents and purposes, Wells Fargo is a Minnesota company. More people work for Wells Fargo in Minneapolis than in San Francisco. Norwest acquired Wells Fargo, etc.

Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
Wasn't it Sid Hartman who recently reported a new Gopher football practice facility was set to break ground? Take whatever Sid writes with a hefty grain of salt.
Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
but it isn't. and it wasn't listed in some article somewhere they listed the sponsors they were looking at.For all intents and purposes, Wells Fargo is a Minnesota company. More people work for Wells Fargo in Minneapolis than in San Francisco. Norwest acquired Wells Fargo, etc.
Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
Sid is unreliable, but U.S. Bank is the clear front runner. Banks and financial services companies are among the most likely to buy these types of rights, and U.S. Bank is a huge local company without any major naming rights yet.
Medtronic doesn't have much to gain, Target already has the Twins and Wolves. Best Buy is an option but has a lot of question marks. 3M seems like it probably doesn't have much to gain either. Companies like General Mills don't often buy these types of rights. If there was a second favorite, I think it would be United Health, but they don't do much business actually in state, right?

Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
Let's not forget about Ameriprise, but I doubt they would ever consider something as big or flashy as naming rights to a stadium.
Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
Ameriprise Field/Stadium sounds about as cool as a corporate stadium name can be.
Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
Except that it would be the Ameriprise Financial Stadium/Field. Doesn't have the same ring to it.

Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
Doesn't have to be. When Ameriprise buys the rights, they can call it what they want. Eg, Great American Ballpark isn't Great American Insurance Group Ballpark. Bankers Life Fieldhouse (*shudder*) isn't Bankers Life and Casualty Company Fieldhouse. It's common to drop the "unnecessary" words in those types of names. So Ameriprise Field could still be a possibility.Except that it would be the Ameriprise Financial Stadium/Field. Doesn't have the same ring to it.

Doesn't look like a flooded construction site is slowing them down at all. Looks like a lake on the live stream today.

Valhalla is already a premium seat option.
Valhalla Club
The Valhalla Club is Located between the 30 yard-lines behind the Vikings bench. It offers the ultimate football viewing experience and is the most exclusive and upscale venue experience in the stadium
It is a nice touch including Norse mythology.

I'm kind of amazed by the dirt piles on the parking lots between 3rd & 4th:

It looks much like the metrodome build, minus the giant glacial boulder.
