940 Selby Avenue
The June 6th-19th Highland Villager reports that a proposed 4-story, 19-unit apartment building for 940 Selby Avenue (just west of Milton Street) has undergone changes to appease local neighbors, and will hopefully be presented to the Summit-University Planning Council this month. Next steps would be city approval with construction targeted for Fall 2012.

Re: 940 Selby Avenue
There's a NIMBY's website, similar in concept to the anti-Linden Corner development, http://stop940selby.com/.
Too tall, too many units, noise from student renters, no sun-study... same old same old.
It's going to be 35 feet high now. The price tag is reportedly $1.5-1.9 million. Which makes this sounds like a very cheap development. I do share the NIMBY's concern about the exterior's quality. But one less vacant lot of Selby Ave is a good thing. Not everything can or should be ultra luxurious.

Re: 940 Selby Avenue
If I lived in this neighborhood , I would be very wary of a building going up with that cheap a budget. What are using to construct the project: Lincoln Logs?? It's going to be an eyesore. Selby Ave needs to protect its character, and be very careful that new development enhances the historical feel of that area.

it's only going to be 35 feet high. my guess it is so cheap because the neighbors have dumbed this one down into basically just a large house
