Target Field Station (the Hotel) & Target Field Station (the Station)
Re: Target Field Station
really great! that last shot with the Ford building is gold.
Re: Target Field Station
I have to agree with that Ford Building shot. That and those shots could be very profitable selling the rights to, or as prints. They are all very good shots and you have an excellent eye with the camera.really great! that last shot with the Ford building is gold.

Re: Target Field Station
Appreciate your comments, both, thank you! The commercial and aesthetic success of that shot is what encouraged me to go back for more; haven't seriously considered selling prints, but, have been in touch with several of the firms involved in the design/construction; fingers are crossed for a few more photo sales.I have to agree with that Ford Building shot. Re: Target Field Station
Seems like they should've had the big screen or another big screen in the amphitheater part.
Re: Target Field Station
Mind if I share the link with some Facebook friends? These are too good not to share and gush over. Incredible!I spent a couple of hours there last night taking photos; see the whole set here; or skip to my favorite which is linked/previewed below:
It's an insanely cool place to take pictures at night; if you're into photography and have an ultra-wide lens it's impossible to have a bad time. Also not bad if you're into watching trains and/or the Twins; was neat to have the broadcast from Fox Sports getting piped onto the big TV.
Re: Target Field Station
It'd be great if you would be willing to license one of them CC; the picture on the Wikipedia page for the Station is, uh... pretty lacking.

No problem; I think you can generally assume it's safe to share Flickr links, nothing secret hereMind if I share the link with some Facebook friends? These are too good not to share and gush over. Incredible!
I've done that a few times in the past, and, even with the "CC (attribution, non-commercial)" license, those images seem to pop up with a citation of "Wikipedia" a little too frequently... still trying to wrap my noodle around how I feel about that, exactly. It'd be great if you would be willing to license one of them CC; the picture on the Wikipedia page for the Station is, uh... pretty lacking.

Sounds like fun! I hope they can mute or temporarily silence the bells.
Re: Target Field Station
Let's hope it is not soggy like the weather today. I think it rains thru Thursday as of latest forecast. But that is a perfect use of that screen for sure.they're going to have the vikes/pack game on the big screen thurs night.
Re: Target Field Station
They seemed to be muted during the World Cup games shown there. They weren't super annoying, at least, though maybe I just got used to it quickly.Sounds like fun! I hope they can mute or temporarily silence the bells.

They'd better install some more stripper poles if they're going to accommodate the crowd.

Looks like there's bits of info on other projects in this paywalled story. MN United Stadium, etc.

I feel like I already know who likes and doesn't like this... BUT I think as long as that ground floor stays pretty open (kinda looks like parking along the grade), that's a really awesome modern look for that area.

Anybody able to glean info from this? There's a rendering here:

If the caption on the photo in the article is correct, looks like they're ditching the hotel portion of the project. I wouldn't be too surprised if the lower floors are parking.

Look at the active street facade of blank walls and armament slits!

Re: Target Field Station Development
They are pretty much doing a carbon copy of what Be the Match is doing with their basement level except I don't see a garage door or exhaust louvers along 6th on this building. I prefer they at least hid most of the wall behind some tall shrubs or trees. That space along 6th would pretty much be a dead zone for a lot of pedestrian traffic due to the driveway to the garbage burner.Look at the active street facade of blank walls and armament slits!
