Might already be in this thread somewhere, but $10 million in federal funding to upgrade highway 10 to a freeway through Ramsey. Oh and a pedestrian bridge somewhere. Wasn't the Northstar built specifically to avoid this?

Sounds like an expansion, not a move. They're growing rapidly, already have 400 employees in NE Minneapolis, and the new building is only expected to house 300. With wanting to include big solar arrays and wind turbine(s?), I'm not sure the core would have been ideal.

This would be much better if it was similar to the new Southdale residences. More retail... Boring! Mix of residences and smaller retail... Yay!

Golden Valley's historic neighborhoods resist subdividing 1+ acre lots.

My first reaction was surprise that Golden Valley had "historic neighborhoods".

That was my first reaction as well, as I'm fairly certain GV didn't truly start to develop until at least the 1950's/60's, if then.

So even though I have a PAID subscription to the Strib it does not recognize my login credentials (or recognizes them but doesn't treat me as a subscriber) and I've already maxed out my 10 free articles this month. This is very annoying! Does anyone else have an issue like this? I'm not living in the area currently so getting the paper copies isn't an option.

Because if you can get away with something, you should totally take advantage of it, right? :?

Case in point: I can ride the Green Line free every time if I want. Why? Because when they audit you, you just have to flash the Go Card. Does that make it ethical?

I always used to do the stop button trick, or an incognito tab... but then they offered a year for under $20.

If you use Safari, clicking "Reader" gets you past the articles per month blocker. ;) I use it all the time.

Not that I condone not paying for a newspaper, but articles you find through Google or social media continue to work even past the 10 article limit.

Oh, interesting. Not sure why I haven't been checked that way, but I'm actually glad to hear that.

Yeah, my card was scanned entering the train the other day, as well. That's the first time that has happened in a long time.

I've noticed that it actually has happened quite a bit more frequently on the Green Line. I ride it daily from downtown to East Bank, and I've been checked at least 3 or 4 times (about once a month).
