Tracks would be a good location if your looking to hold the Happy Hour at 8am and are trying to scare everyone away from becoming an alcoholic.

I'd vote for the Dubliner, and if it's on a Monday through Wednesday I'd likely join you all.

Oh yeah, tomorrow is August. I'm off work early tomorrow if anyone wants to me demolish their pro-SWLRT arguments in person. :D So, do we still wanna hit up a Green Line spot? I'll throw in Arnellia's and Demera as a couple other options to consider. And there's always Johnny Baby's...

Reviving this thread as I will briefly be in town in a couple weeks for a family matter. I (hopefully) may or (if I'm unlucky) may not have time for a quick happy hour gathering while I'm back home. I get in midday on the 16th and leave morning of the 19th. Family commitments will probably preclude Thursday evening (unless we do a late happy hour) and definitely will preclude most of Saturday (except for possibly Saturday breakfast). If anyone's interested in meeting up, let me know.

I would also love some quality Happy Hour with UrbanMSP folks before I move to San Francsico later this month.

We used to have happy hours almost quarterly. Then Nick quit Facebook and no one has taken the lead in creating an official event. It's been probably over a year since our last good one. Who wants to set this up?
What about like the Thursday or Friday before MLK day (1/15 or 1/16)? For some reason we've almost always held them on a non-weekend night. Was there a reason for that? A younger version of me might have had "real plans" on the weekend and I'm guessing we didn't want to get in the way of that, but I feel like most people who attended the happy hours were old enough to not have "real plans" anymore, and a Friday night actually works better than a Wednesday or Thursday. Like you're getting so old you're just happy to have any plans at all, and this will be enough excitement for the whole weekend. That said, either 1/15 or 1/16 is good for me, as I have Friday off work.

Also, we don't have an urbanmsp Facebook page at all anymore, and I'm not sure if we'd broadcast this out to the Twitterverse. We'll have to coordinate with streets.mn if we want to make use of a Facebook event.

How about the following week--like Friday the 23rd. Works better for me.

I can wrap the rest of streets.mn into it, though that will put it at the risk of being a thing people go to so they can be the type of people who go to things. MNdible has to go either way

streets.mn folks are always welcome, but it should be a happy hour for forum members to hang out with other forum members.

I'll start with the suggestion of Dulono's as a location.

I'd be cool with either weekend.

So do we wanna do happy hours again like we used to? It seems like every time it comes up, two or three people respond and it goes nowhere.

If you're interested in a real life face to face meet up, please reply to this thread!

Where and when would be the kicker this time of year. Those that do public transportation will not be standing outside to catch a bus or two.

I'm interested. And I'm willing to put a scarf on and stand outside and wait for a bus, though I totally understand if others aren't.
