New Siebert Field

Postby lordmoke » June 14th, 2012, 8:20 am

It looks like they broke ground on Monday:

Has anyone seen any decent renderings of this project? A couple small images turn up in a Google image search, but that's all I can find.

odd to see no metrodome in a rendering. but that's the future. (and i'm thankful the metrodome will be going)

Seriously no clubhouse? That really is barebones; I guess it is back to fundraising for lights and a locker room.

it's kinda pathetic they couldn't have lights from the get-go. a big 10 university. guess it must be harder to raise funds from boosters for college baseball. they can afford all of these coach buy-outs but not basic necessities of a baseball facility.

what they've built to this point looks nice, though. i'm glad the team has a proper place to play on campus finally.

I saw some pictures of the Grand Opening from yesterday, very sad. I honestly think there were more dignitaries than there were fans . They must not have advertised or sent anything to boosters or even students. You would think you might want to show it off...?!

Yesterday was only a ceremony. There was no game. The first game is on Friday April 5.
