Those are really limited hours. I don't know how are business can support itself like that.

Good luck to them though.

Got a photo of it the other day!

Love it! It's people like the owners of this type of businesses who I believe will help bring back downtown.

If it is the business I am thinking of their primary business is baking mixes not this store front. But those hours are limited

Ooh, fun. 8,000 sq feet must be one of the street level corners - wonder if it's the old Prime 6 spot, or on Nicollet?
From City Centers leasing site, looks like it will be on 6th Street next to the tower entrance. Sounds like the sports bar is a separate tenant (which is great news for City Center).

When I first saw this I said to myself "That's an awfully big space for someone selling watches".

Starbucks on 4th St next to Commons Park is closing on the 25th according to a sign on the door.

This one has stayed consistently busy through the pandemic because of the seating at the park right outside their door.

I wonder why they would hang on for this last year and a half only to close as things are moving back towards normal.

One of the retail spaces at 903 S Washington Ave (previously occupied by Sanctuary) has a sign posted for a new restaurant:

Nothing found out on the internet yet when I search for Spice & Tonic.

Minneapolis community comes together to raise funds to reopen iconic Band Box Diner

Looks like they need to repair pipes, windows and find a new purveyor.

They've just met their goal but welcome any additional funds here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/bring-back-t ... 7BgM0RCd1g

They also had a big city funded loan in the 90s to build the current addition, make ADA improvements, etc.

Spice and Tonic will be a welcome addition. The south stretch of Washington from Chicago to 11th is painfully vacant. With Periscope not in the office, the book center closed and Northern Coffee and the greenery now closed... it needs a bit of life.

Hopefully I can eat enough spice to keep them afloat for a while.

Addition? Must be the part off to the side away from the kitchen? The place is tiny as it is, can't imagine it any smaller!

I wonder what our peak DIY yogurt shop saturation was, and how many we have left.

Not exactly downtown, but repair work on the Band Box Diner seems to have started. Saw someone in there last night as I went past.

Broadway Pizza moving from their soon to close W. Broadway location Downtown to the Dan Kelly location Downtown, but first Dan Kelly is going to use their space to launch a new seafood concept which will get it's own space when Broadway moves in.

The owner will also be reopening Devil's Advocate and voiced confidence in Downtown.
