Yeah, there is a parking garage between the hotel and the Commerce Building. I saw them painting the pillars of the podium near the garage, but it really could use a true facelift. That said, this weekend they appeared to be tearing the canopy off the Kellogg St. side of the hotel.

I'm surprised they still haven't done so much as touch the hallway connecting the hotel to the skyway. It is still sporting flickering fluorescent polished brass boob lights, worn mauve carpeting, and the smell of cat piss lingering in the air. Not a good impression for someone entering a first-class hotel.

That skyway is awful. Even if they don't own it, invest some money into one of your main winter entrances. All the skyway sections on that block are in need of updates BIG time. It is like taking a gravel road to a posh resort's front door. That would not be the best impression for BIG spenders.
