Today I had a friend of mine affirm that Magellan is very interested in another "sizeable" project downtown. My friend supplies building products and apparently they have sniffing around. He did not believe that this was the Ryan proposal by the stadium, but a project of their own. Could this be the property on Hennepin?

Someone in my building said there have been some rumors the vacant lot between Harmon and Yale Place at 13th has recently been eyed by developers but no names mentioned.

There were no specifics about any proposal. I always thought it would make a nice row house project on at least part of it.

I swear I remember reading a post on here a long time ago (before LPM rumors I think) that someone wrote about Minneapolis getting a ton of new towers, but they will never get another one near or over 500 feet. I don't believe this, but so far it's been dead on accurate.

Well, it's true that we haven't gotten any 500+ foot towers in the two years this site's been active, but at the same time, we haven't gotten a ton of new towers either. We've only gotten 2 buildings taller than 13 stories so far, with 5-6 more far enough along to have had public renderings released. I think we just have to be patient on that front.

FYI, for anyone who knows who RetiredBanker was on this forum, I've asked him if he could provide an update on the status of the large projects he is working on and whether any/all of them are related to the current slew of big projects announced in the past few weeks. It sounds like there is more big news on the horizon, and he will provide that detail soon.
