They're pile driving at the millwright.
I thought this was the Mill District, not the Warehouse District.
It's actually neither. SoFa is the new name, get with it (south of 5th).

It's what happens when real estate marketers are given a budget and left to their own devices. I wish I was kidding, but when I toured the edition apartments and asked about the name of the area, the leasing agents were being told that it was likely between SoFa and Nordic Village. I just about lost it right there.

No... I know what the SoFa name is from, but thanks for that little explanation. This is the Downtown East block thread, right? It's where Millwright news belongs. I don't get the joke about the warehouse district.

I'll take Nordic Village over SoFa any day.

Nordic Village is still literally the most generic Nordic-inspired name possible. Just off the very top of my head: Nya Stan, or New Town, a play off the Stockholm district of Gamla Stan (Old Town).

My example isn't even good, and it might not even be correct Swedish, but just to give an idea of something that's not totally generic.

That's hilarious, but also, it would look incredible in red. Maybe they cab switch out they're siding order still! Lololol

Yeah, no joking at all: that slightly rusty red color looks kinda awesome. Their official brand color is redder and richer, but would look pretty darn sweet itself. I suspect, however, that it would not age well and would be quite a bit too literal for a hip/modern brand.

I wish it hid the blank Wells Fargo wall better. Maybe cover that in a red moisture barrier?

Their plan is to cover that wall in vines.

600 building of WF (eastern building) opened today. Skyway Wells Fargo Bank location now open, and the skyway all the way through to the MSFA ramp.

Oh my god they forgot bike racks for both buildings. But they keep the downtown aerials history going, so that's cool.

There is a bike rack area inside for employees, with shower facilities and basic repair tools.

Some semi-old news. Last week the parent company of Radisson hotels, Carlson sold the hotel business to HNA Tourism Group. HNA is a Chinese investment conglomerate, they own a variety of travel related businesses.

The sale likely will have little effect on the day to day operations of Carlson Hotels in the short term. The CEO and senior leadership will remain.

yeah, not for the general public. but for 95% of the users of the building it is...

also, the exterior is not finished, perhaps there will still be one.
