Crowdsourced map of downtown lunch spots that are on the ground floor/not in the skyway https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewe ... 23887&z=16
I'm surprised Hen House isn't on this list. And a few more I see are missing.

If I remember the twitter thread correctly, he was focusing on quick-serve/counter-serve restaurants. Hen House is still full table service, right?

Interesting, since there used to be a Starbucks just a few blocks over in EDITION.

Yeah. It was weird when that one closed. It always seemed busy even in the hight of the pandemic because you could sit in the park when indoor dining was closed.

I'm glad to have something here again . There are no coffee shops nearby open on Sundays.

Is the Starbucks skyway or street level?

If quick service is the what the list is compiling. I'd say Valentino Cafe, Sal's on fifth and Sushi Train would fit the bill. Is this list updated on twitter? I'm always looking for new restaurants to try.

Looks like the old Alliance Francais at 113 N 1st St is getting a 3-level 'Taco Concept' restaurant tenant. Looks like a 'speakeasy', event space, and first floor main restaurant, patio and rooftop.

Wasn’t a different seafood place supposed to be opening back up in the McCormick & Schmick’s spot?

Looks like the windows on the reopened Zelo space are frosted (or whatever) for the bottom two-thirds or so. Can’t see in or out when walking on the street.

I wish there was a city ordinance that prohibited this.

Gross. I also wish we had an ordinance against this kind of thing. I guess it keeps the patrons from having to look at all that grey concrete on the mall, and the busses we couldn't do without. :(
