This one should be changed to under construction, no?

This was hard to get a great shot of. It's right across the street from Third North, you can see the crane from that in the background of the second picture.

The parking ramp across from this was open today! First time it was during my adventures.

I saw someone taking a picture over here right before I got there...another poster? Silver Honda Civic?

Today Brunsfield got a crane mounted on one of them eight-wheelers that look like they're built for a mars landing. It's pretty cool watching it work against KA's medieval siege tower at 3rd North.

Wish there was a good rendering of this project. I'm thinking it's going to be a nice with Julie Snow as the architect.

They have started on a 2nd level of concrete frame at the front of the building. To be clear, that's two levels of concrete above the concrete foundation. I am not talking about the elevator shaft, which already has been poured and is right next to the section that has two levels of concrete. Just thought you guys might like to know.

A turd? I think it's clean and fits in well. I like that the dark exterior and big windows on the street.

Love the street level. Exactly how it should have been done here. The design is whatever. I'm not too worried about it.

what's so disappointing is from their body of work, i think we thought we were getting something different and worthwhile.

But nope, same north korean crap.

I was hoping for something really different as well. This obviously isn't. But it's still a fine building, IMO.

True - as I think was discussed earlier, I really liked the white apartment complex from Kuala Lumpur. So modern and clean...

Agreed. Though it's hard to tell from even this rendering, it looks like the facade would be quite flat without those balconies. That reminds me a bit of their Humboldt Lofts building from a decade ago.

Considering the fact that they have a small strange lot, and the kind of financing it takes to make uber luxury complexes, I can't see how you all really expected that. This has a great architect and is the perfect cross of modern materials and the shape of historic buildings in the North Loop. Snow did a great job of hiding utilities, using dramatic anglescolors in the balconies, as well as creating a great street level presence.

The vote of confidence was that they chose Mpls to be their first US venture, I hope it goes well.

I want to see more renderings. And I think its premature to be critical towards this project's aesthetics. As fotoapparatic stated above, I think there is going to be bold contrast in color with the balcony angles, and the facade is going to be more dramatic and interesting than what is apparent from the only pic we've seen so far. I also really like the very modern street level design with the clear glass curtain wall. I'm betting right now it will end up being a great addition to the North Loop.
