I don't have any particular objection to it like one of the letter does. But it isn't very well defined in the renderings, so it's a bit tough to figure out what it might add, aside from another level. It looks like a blob in the renderings. Made of jello salad...

Over all it is not that much different than many of the mechanical penthouses on many of the truly industrial warehouses in the NL. Probably pissed because he has a window face it and is worried about not being able to see the skyline or now will be more difficult to run around his condo naked on the weekend when there will be people looking from the roof!

There is no way that this will block North Loopers' view. I agree with Anondson, there is something off with that rooftop addition.

If you wanna see that kind of thing, stop by my cube on the fifth floor of Galtier (Cray) Plaza during a workday.

After looking at the potential development map in the Strib this weekend, I had to ask myself how far along are some of the west side projects in or near the NL. How many are a go and which are still proposals where nothing has happened.

Anyone know the status of this project? I feel it is a major lynch pin in bring the NL and Core together in a more cohesive way.

Still no updates on this? The longer nothing happens the more skeptical I become that anything will.

Did the Milwaukee guy actually close on this property or just have an option on it?

I'm still hearing a fair amount of chatter about this, so I'm pretty confident that it's going to move forward.

I hope so. I agree with Wedgeguy this project will connect this area better with the CBD, and bring more diverse activity to the North Loop. It's still not quite the bustling urban neighborhood it truly should be. It has many gaps to fill. A work in progress! :)

Hopefully it's still a go, otherwise I'd feel bad for the staff who worked on this enormous report:

Saw a new Greiner Construction sign in the window on Sunday. Looks like this is on track.

Yeah, saw a dumpster on site this morning and it looks like they're pulling stuff out of here. Good to see this one get going.

So one of my coworkers, in his last job, had to remove all the IT equipment from this building when it stopped being the Recording institute or whatever it was. So, I guess, ask me anything and maybe I can ask him if it doesn't sound too silly to say outloud.

This project is in progress. Demolition has been completed on the first floor and Greiner is working its way upward.

Not much new in this article, but still a fun read.

Yeah, well written. Trying way too hard with the lumbersexual angle, though.

This will be a great addition to the North Loop. Its good to see this project and T3 bringing more diversity to the area than just housing. I'm betting this hotel will liven up the neighborhood significantly.

Glad to see the scaffolding around the ground floor of this project. I now feel like it will actually get somewhere.
