Black window assemblies inside brick openings like that look so sharp and timeless.

Actual depth and detail in the brick and the window openings and the windows themselves make for a sturdy-looking building. I haven't had a close-up look in person yet (drove by on 5th a week or two ago) but I'm liking what I've seen thus far.

Went by today, and reiterating some of what's already been said here, Millwright is effectively done and looks fantastic up close. It feels old and sturdy while simultaneously being very open and airy and modern. Faux-historic done well.

I concur. The Millwright Building is probably my favorite new construction in downtown.

That's a nicely done building, inside and out.

And gotta love that bike room!

Saw a 'Starbucks Coming Soon' sign in one of the retail spaces at the Edition Apartments. The one that's directly adjacent to the park.

Unlocked FC article about this lease and what it means for DTE office vacancy rates.

They throw a lot of numbers around, but I think the gist is that Millwright is the only Class A building in DTE?

Based on the numbers provided, I agree that would make sense. That said, why wouldn't the Wells Fargo office space be considered Class A?

Wells Fargo would be owner-occupied, so it's not counted in the vacancy rate for "competitive" buildings.

The Wells Fargo may also not have been built as Class A. If I remember, its purpose was to house a lot of back office type jobs, and not necessarily executive teams. So why spend the extra money to make it Class A space, when the tenant doesnt need that.
