This page on Froggie's website is a great repository of old Twin Cities transit plans:

It's sad how the BRE study from the mid-80's is quite similar to the overall LRT network built by 2018 did not come into reality until 30-35 years after that study was made. I wonder how Minneapolis and Saint Paul would look now if they started building out the network a decade or two before, along with the LRT tracks being built underground in at least Downtown Minneapolis. Maybe there would be at least 400,000 living in Minneapolis and 300,000 residents in Saint Paul again? I would have said even higher numbers but they might be seen as a pipe dream given the scorn towards increasing the population density even by residents in the central cities, even though some suburbs in Canada have larger populations along with higher densities than the Twin Cities.

Came across some plans from 1960s and 70s, including one of a tube network
