Re: 4Marq - (313' - 30 Stories)
Minneapolis also issued a RFP for the Nicollet Hotel block which is next to the library for a 20+ story tower. Within the RFP is a requirement to plan for the Nicollet-Central streetcar line either wrapping around the site or bisecting it. With 4Marq, the 2 additional 30+ story towers and the 20+ story building, this area will see immense change in the coming years. In the Business Journal article about the RFP, one developer in a meeting mentioned the possibility of building a tower taller than the IDS Center - truly skyline changing development.

That's the last level of it Phil. 2-7 are ramp and they're reaching 7 in about a week.

Looks like ceiling height of ramp floors are much higher than with older ramps, and the actual ramp part is set on the interior of the parcel. Is this to accommodate future conversion to use other than car storage?

Nah, just bigger cars. Luxury apartment dwellers like SUVs. /snark

for historical perspective, here is a picture I saw while out shopping the other day of what use to be on this block, taken from a similar angle.

Walking by yesterday, it looks like the parking decks are wrapping up and they are starting to pour the first residential floor.

Possibly better, but probably still not great:

But definitely an improvement. When you walk along 5th Street next to Nic on Fifth its so dark with all the blackish columns and window mullions. Would also be helpful if there was some activity going on inside so it wasn't such a ghost town.Possibly better, but probably still not great:

I think it was just 7 of parking, and they are on the 2nd res floor now.

If you look at the image on the webcam you can clearly see where the ramp ends. (on the 7th level)I think it was just 7 of parking, and they are on the 2nd res floor now.

Exterior cladding is going up on the side with the tower crane. Looks nicer than I was expecting. This is going to have some pretty sizable windows with thinner strips of material between, a little along the lines of 432 Park in NYC.

Here are a few shots from Saturday, including a couple of the facade going up.
