Ole Piper Inn can't be considered Lakeville, as classic as it is.

It's been around for at least thirty years (maybe longer), and it's in Lakeville, so I'm not sure why it can't be considered Lakeville, unless you're just counting the old downtown area.

Way older than thirty (ahem.). It's considered "Valley Park", I think. Not quite Apple Valley, but close enough. It has a Rosemount mailing address, as you do in that corner, and a 191 school district.

Lakeville doesn't exist east of Cedar Ave or west of I-35 (that's Orchard Lake, or Credit River if you get too far into the boonies. One of those mental barriers for me, like I never consider anything south of the Crosstown being in "Edina".

No kidding. I've never even been to Lakeville and it turns out every else on this forum lived there.

The downpour as I was getting ready to head out this morning led me to drive to work. I think that's the fourth time so far this year.

Lol It's k, Adam's was a humblebrag too, having driven to work only 4 times this year. (though it's ambiguous, as it could also mean he's only driven to work 4 times because of rain this year.)

I recently made an offer (haven't closed yet) on a house in south Mpls. The house is located on a street that carries a crosstown bus route, and the house is near enough to the end of the block that there will be some noise (air brakes / bus farts).

Between the open house and when we wrote up the offer a couple hours later, I checked the bus schedule to make sure that service didn't run too frequently or too late in the evenings. I was very pleased to find that service was only hourly in the late evening and the last bus comes past my house at 10:30pm (and 8:30pm on Sunday nights!)




P.S. On the flipside, my urbanist brag is that I can see the very tops of Blue Line trains over the Hiawatha berm & noise wall (just beyond the houses across the street from mine). You can literally see the train go by (silently, thank god) from the front porch.

P.P.S Those houses across the street are tacky 1998-built ones with front garages, and ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I feel fine.

Took us like a good hour and a half Friday morning to get from Loring Park to the fair via the Dunwoody Park and Ride. Two buses filled up (both non-articulated) before they got to us in line, then it took probably twenty minutes to get from Highway 280 to the bus corral. It's a complicated operation obviously, but if you've got $10 it's probably worth the Uber.

Route 960 was painless for me both ways on Sunday.

This is the answer. So easy and still quite quick.

I've always had luck with the 960. One year i was the only standing passenger on the way back downtown. Otherwise I've had a seat.
