Wish in retrospect that someone had gotten them to move the parking entrance from Park to Chicago. Hopefully it won't impact the design of the planned protected bikeway here too much, unlike that block on the 26th St bikeway at Abbott.

The groundbreaking was fun, it also doubled as a ribbon cutting for the new helipad on top of the hospital. Really great view from the helipad, but a little nerve racking as there are no guard rails or anything. I was going to upload one of the pictures I took, but during the process my phone deleted all of my photos, not a good day...

This new clinic should help to make it much easier to get around the clinic and save them some money with less duplication of services over it being spread out across the hospital like it is now. Should help the hospital with it's own efficiency once they get the old clinic space re-purposed and up to more modern standards.

The crane seems extremely tall for just a 6 story building, it appears to be about the same height as the Portland Tower crane.

I am wondering if they are going to be putting up a second crane that is shorter, and the height is so they don't conflict.

When they built the apartments on the greenway they always had two cranes. Both to split the work load, and so that they would not over load the crane by making it carry too heavy of items too close to the far end of the crane. I have not seen the cranes placement, is it near the outside of the clinic or what would be the center spaces of a figure 8's. With it being a nearly full block development, they really need 2 crane to work efficiently.

I've never had a road detoured onto a sidewalk before. Weird. I'm assuming it was the combination of hospital entrance/one-way-street that led to this odd routing, rather than close the road entirely?

Hopefully I haven't missed this, but does anyone know if they will be having an open house once construction is finished? It would be really cool to get a chance to see inside this thing.
