I see that one of our favorite forum members created the new official transit map for Oklahoma City:

Great job, Kyril!

Nice! I am sure the transit system leaves much to be desired (no Sunday service!), but a well designed, clear map like this is one step to help new riders make sense of the system.

Oklahoma City regional mayors have agreed to create a regional transit authority.

I love this quote:
“(Interstate 35)’s capacity is set, it’s not going to grow,” Cornett said. “That should be a wake-up call to the entire region. We are going to need to come up with different modes of transportation if we want to continue to grow.”
That's some clarity in thinking I wish was spoken by mayors in the Twin Cities. The cities and counties south of the Minnesota River, for instance, need this drummed in. Our own 35W and 169 aren't going to be getting additional lanes any decade soon, if ever.

It would be amazing if this happened, but I doubt it will.

Developer seems honest about it...
Hogan called the plan for the third tower, which will be built last and its height ultimately determined by market demand and financing, “aspirational.”
So do they throw down the future arcology card to help get city approval or something?

Funding is secured and construction could begin as early as September. Would be fun to see this fuel a domestic US Skyscraper race.

I'm surprised this is going through, can we get a new skyscraper in Minneapolis?
