I think they hired a child to design that building. Hate seeing it during the twins games
some of us have to see it everyday.

I still don't understand the hate for 33 S. 6th (I still call it Multifoods). The city center part of the block is ugly, yeah, but I don't mind tower. It is kind of a testament to the architecture of many buildings built around that time. Sure it isn't shiny and glassy...but for a box, I think it's pretty spiffy...it has good lines. I like the cylindrical columns that run up the entire building and right down to the street. I think a lot of people don't notice this part of the building.

I like it, especially the entrance on 6th. The columns have a nice rhythm. The mall side could use some love, but that's technically City Center.

I don't mind the form as much as the exposed aggregate cladding... and the dark tinted glass. it was a mas marketed style of building then, very utilitarian, but could easily be spiffed up

Great news about the reuse of this building. Now, if only someone would fix up the Skyway Theater next door?

Ohhh! I've always hoped something cool would move into that building. Thought it could make 4 really cool lofts, but I'm not sure how the inside is laid out either so that might not work. Glad to see BNW going in there! I wonder if they'll spruce up the outside of the building much or at all?

Once upon a time the ground floor of this building was home to the Time Theater. It could still have the bones to be a nice small venue for the classes. Really glad to see this building getting love- it's long been one of my favorite hidden gems downtown.

I'd love to see Bar Fly out of there, ICK! What are the chances that ever happens? Slim to none?

Idon't think it was originally a theater, but one was added in the 30s and gone by the 60s.

Agreed. That looks like it would have been an awesome addition to that stretch.

Unfortunately, the people who run barfly own the building. So no time soon. As horrible as it is, it still makes tons of money.
