I'm pretty sure that Elon has commented that he dislikes the concept of flying cars, so I would take that bet. Plus his long term goal is Mars colonization, so even if his view changed he'll probably leave flying cars to someone else.

Aeromobile and a few other companies have been working with flying car prototypes since the 90's. Unfortunately it's a technology that's yet to show any practicality...

After flying my car to a park & ride, I was able to split this into a new thread while in the PRT vehicle.

Because all the problems of individual single-occupancy vehicles would evaporate if we could fill the sky with lanes.

Don't think anyone claimed that, so I don't see why it should stop new technology from being interesting or pursued. I also like looking at new cars from Tesla and others, even though I don't own one myself.
