Strib says vote yes on both: http://www.startribune.com/opinion/edit ... 15162.html

I wholeheartedly agree and will be voting yes on both. I urge you to do the same.

Amendment 1 (raise election filing fees) must receive 51%. (according to the Strib, I would've thought 50%-1)
Amendment 2 (eliminate 70/30 rule for restaurants) must receive 55%.

Does anyone know if that works exactly like the constitutional amendments in 2012, where blank = "no" ? Or is it a simple yes vs. no count?

I'm indifferent on 1. If you're going to run a real campaign, $250 or $500 isn't a big deal. But at the same time, I don't think it's going to block folks from filing vanity campaigns if they really want to. I don't see it changing things much.

2 is a no brainer.

It is not like the amendment. It only needs 50%-1 of votes cast on that question.
