Minneapolis Aquarium

Postby grant1simons2 » August 21st, 2015, 7:04 pm

What if Minneapolis had an aquarium?

Google "Minneapolis aquarium," and the only thing that shows up on that first page is all about Bloomington and Sea Life. You have to go to the second page to even see where to get aquarium supplies in Minneapolis. So what if Minneapolis DID have an aquarium? I've always had the dream to incorporate more day time attractions and museums on Hennepin ave so it could really be an active node 24/7. A beautiful new aquarium could be the start of that.

Has Minneapolis ever had a good aquarium? If so, where was it? Have you ever gone? Why did it go?

4th Annual International Lake Calhoun Ice Fishing Festival is coming up, if that's what you mean.

Start that discussion when the post office eventually moves out of their major downtown facility. What to do with that beast is going to require creativity. (I'm skeptical of whether they are worthwhile investments, for the record.)
