Lutsen Lodge was destroyed by a fire last night, which is truly unfortunate.

Yes, it was a magnificent building that will be very difficult to reconstruct. A real loss.

I have faith. I felt the same way until I learned that it had burned down before. The idea that they had created it from scratch more than once gives me hope.

Well I know a few people who are going to the lutsen 99er that have to find new bookings.
I know a guy who's a bit convinced that this, Papa Charlie's and the Grand Marais fire 4 years ago all where from people unhappy about all the tourism up the north shore.
Don't really believe it but did joke with him a bit that Spirit Mountain or Cuyuna could be next.
