This will be so nice to see, good riddance to that empty car dealership.
Re: 1333 University Ave
Looks like it will stretch for the entire block face? That's a long building (or pair of long buildings)....

I just drove University from downtown St. Paul to Franklin today. West of Raymond for the most part is pretty dreary. Hopefully many more projects like this start filling in.

Do you mean east of raymond? Because west of raymond is fairly lively through westgate and then you are in stadium village.
Re: 1333 University Ave
My bad, yes east of Raymond. West is already booming.
Re: 1333 University Ave
Yeah, I give it 5 years and the corridor will have a vastly different feel. I can't wait to see this one go up!

F&C had an article on Tuesday saying that $2.1 million in TIF money was to be voted on on Wednesday. Anyone know if it went through?

Glad to see that there is some movement on this project. Will fill an area that has way to much underused land.
Re: Hamline Station - (1333 University Avenue)
I just received my new Monitor local news paper and there a bunch of University Ave development updates. The info isn't online yet but here's what it had to say about this project:
-They are calling it the Hamline Station Project for Pride in Living (PPL) development
-moving towards a spring construction start
-St Paul Planning Commission recommended approval of a zoning change on Feb 7
-plans include 2 mixed use buildings with 108 units of housing and 13,000 sq ft of first floor commercial
-1334 Sherburne Ave needs to be rezoned to single family from traditional neighborhood use, so it can be sold to a residential neighbor

Riding by this stretch on the Green Line frequently, I have to say I'm very excited for this development! It has the potential to really spruce up this area while hopefully unleashing more projects like it along the line.

I'm not sure the corridor needs anymore sprucing up.[snip] It has the potential to really spruce up this area while hopefully unleashing more projects like it along the line.
